HHS publishes department-wide AI strategy built on a 'OneHHS' platform

PolicyHealthGovernmentUSConfirmed

The Department of Health and Human Services released an AI strategy with five pillars: governance and risk management, shared infrastructure, workforce and burden reduction, research reproducibility, and modernised care and public-health delivery. Under a 'OneHHS' approach it pulls CDC, CMS, FDA, NIH and other divisions onto common AI infrastructure, and HHS says it will publish metrics on progress against each pillar.

Why it matters

It sets the procurement and governance direction for the largest US health payer and regulator, and signals heavier AI use in Medicare, Medicaid and public-health operations.
