AI systems from Huawei and Xiaohongshu reported to score 42/42 at IMO 2026
At the 2026 International Mathematical Olympiad in Shanghai, where 7 of 666 human contestants got full marks, Huawei's Celia and Xiaohongshu's dots-note-3.0 were reported to achieve perfect scores under the IMO's official judging, with human intervention barred. Other labs, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Axiom Math and Moonshot AI, were also reported at 42/42 based on social-media claims.
Why it matters
Olympiad maths is now saturated as an AI benchmark, and Chinese labs reached the top alongside US ones.
